Hi everyone and welcome to Sing for a Cure 2016 – ‘Timeless’ !

This year we have put together an evening of top class entertainment, featuring ‘Timeless’ songs that either have or will stand the test of time. This evening is all about raising funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and every penny you have paid this evening will go to the JDRF, this is thanks to the support we have had from the Burgess Hill and Crawley offices of Martin & Co.

When I chose the theme this year it seemed like such a good idea, however when it came down to picking the set list it proved quite a challenge! I would compare the experience with going to a top restaurant with an enormous menu…., what to have !?

Luckily I have had help and a lot of it, so with a combined effort we have arrived with the tonight’s offering ranging from Stevie Wonder to ACDC, from Louis Armstrong to the Beatles, stopping off at a number of other cracking artists and bands along the way.

As we began to think about this year’s show the Bowman family suffered the loss of Sophie’s grandad and Paula’s father, Alex McLellan. Alex had type 1 diabetes since he was 23 and was an amazing husband, father and grandfather and is sadly missed by all who knew him. We dedicate Timeless in memory to Alex.

PS : We now have no less than 4 Type 1 superstars in the show this year !!
